Caldy Nature Park fungi walk enjoyed by attendees

Another interesting and enjoyable walk, with good weather, led by Fungal Punk Dave.

Although we seem to have had quite a lot of rain recently, conditions in the nature park were really dry. This meant there weren't as many fungi on show as we'd hoped.

However, in trying conditions Dave, being the dedicated naturalist that he is, managed to uncover 55 species of fungi during our walk. A lot of the fungi were on the microscopic level, so would easily be missed without someone with Dave's experience to track down as many species as he could.
