Beside the post is a bridge over the brook on your left. There’s some balance / climbing apparatus and a Story Chair on the other side – go and have a go, if you feel like it! Return to the path, then continue along it with the brook to your left. After a while the path forks, opening up with a grassy meadow area in front of you, and the main pond straight ahead. Look out for bright hawthorn berries in Autumn. The blackbirds love them! The right hand fork takes you down to a platform over the pond. It’s a good spot for spotting pond life.
The left hand fork leads to post no 4 near the benches and the bridge over the brook.
