What a year!

WOW! What a year 2025 has been, so much achieved by our Friends of Caldy Nature Park committee and willing band of volunteers. It has been great to see so many new faces helping out run the committee, treasurer, website, notice boards, volunteer workers etc.

And THANK YOU to our new Facebook page followers, helping share and like our new page, supporting our events, sending us information and photos and coming along to join in on our volunteer days.

As a non for profit volunteer group, we set up the park 34 years ago, we work hard to keep the nature park clean, repaired, accessible, fun and interesting for all, whilst improving and protecting habitat for the birds, mammals, insects, flora and fauna.

2025 In Review

REFURBISHMENT, CONSTRUCTION, PLANTING, IMPROVEMENTS.

• 36 hours of volunteer working, every month, rain or shine

• Replacement of boards to weir and sluices, silt removal

• New play area

• Footpaths swept, drains cleared

• Painting of Millennium Bridge

• Repaired tiles to sculptures

• New health walk signage

• Planting of wild flowers to Caldy meadow and Wellfield

• Repairs and refurbishment if notice boards and QR codes

• Repairs to foot bridges

• Replacement of steps

• Resurfacing of footways

• New kerbing to car park to stop vehicles damaging verges

• Removal of fallen trees blocking footways

• Removal of Himalayan Balsam
